Signs of hypersensitivity include hives, difficulty breathing, wheezing, fainting, feeling dizzy, and swelling of the face, mouth or tongue.

NovoSeven should not be used for patients who have known hypersensitivity to mouse, hamster or bovine proteins. NovoSeven can cause heart attack and stroke, as well as serious allergic reactions. NovoSeven can cause injury to unborn babies and nursing babies. Patients who need to use NovoSeven should weigh the benefits of the drug against the possible harm it may cause.
NovoSeven is for patients with hemophilia A or B, patients with acquired hemophilia, and patients with congenital FVII deficiency. NovoSeven is NOT for patients with known hypersensitivity to mouse, hamster and bovine proteins. NovoSeven is also NOT for pregnant women. NovoSeven can cause injury to unborn babies and nursing babies. Patients who need to use NovoSeven should weigh the benefits of the drug against the possible harm it may cause.
NovoSeven can cause serious allergic reactions and heart attack, stroke and other injuries. Some signs of these serious side effects include:
- hives
- difficulty breathing
- wheezing
- fainting
- feeling dizzy
- swelling of the face, mouth and tongue
- chest pain
- irregular heart beat
Less serious side effects include nausea, low blood pressure, headache, injection site reaction, and rash.
