Lead Paint on Red Wagon | InjuriesJan. 3, 2008—The latest in the worrisome saga of lead contamination in Chinese-manufactured children’s toys continues with this most recent development. Tricam Industries voluntarily recalled its toy wagons on Jan. 3 after discovering that surface paint on the children’s toys contains harmful amounts of lead.

The amount of lead in the paint violates federal lead paint standards, and approximately 15,000 wagons are affected.

The wagon is red, model MH1250, and has a red steel bucket. It was sold at national Tractor Supply Company stores from September 2002 to November 2007. Like other toys that have violated the federal lead paint standard, the wagon was manufactured in China.

Tricam is offering a refund and can be contacted at (800) 867-6763 or www.tricam.com. Toy wagons should be kept away from children in the meantime.
