Injuries happen on the job all the time. Construction sites are especially notorious places to get injured. Workers injure themselves using nail guns, drills, sanders, saws, and hammers. They can fall from heights, equipment can land on top of them, and heavy machinery can cause broken bones, concussions, or worse.

Maintaining a safe working environment is important. Employers can do that by making sure all employees are properly trained, equipment is properly maintained, and First Aid stations are available in case of an injury. Also, everyone in a construction site should wear appropriate safety gear, including hard hats, protective eyewear, long pants, and any other necessary clothing.

More than 1,000 construction workers die every year from work-related accidents, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates there are 11,200 disabling injuries every hour. Also, one out of every 10 construction workers is injured every year. The most common injuries occur to the back, then the legs, arms and hands.

Although getting injured is never a laughing matter considering the pain, medical costs, and possible lost wages, here are a couple of videos that definitely lighten the mood. Enjoy, and remember to be safe on the job!
