With all the research that has been done on asthma, it amazes me that people still pass away from asthma related causes. Ever year, many people die because they had asthma. I looked into it a little bit and found some interesting material on the subject. First, most of the deaths occur in low-income neighborhoods, and they are usually low-income people that die. This is probably because they do not have as nice of inhalers, or they simply don’t have the inhalers at all. Another reason low-income areas have more asthma related deaths is because they may ait too long to go to the hospital. Hospital visits are expensive, and when you are on a tight budget you are only going if you absolutely have to.
