Adam "Pacman" Jones faces several pending trials now that the three people injured in a shooting rampage have filed civil suits against him. Although Jones has denied playing any role in the shooting that left the two Las Vegas strip club employees and one club patron severely injured—one paralyzed—he paid upwards of $15,000 to the man who did commit the crime. He told police he was the victim of extortion, after the man who committed the shooting began to threaten his friends and family.
The shooter, Arvin Kenti Edwards, allegedly extorted money from Jones, saying the money was owed for “services rendered.” The men were at the strip club together, were thrown out because of Jones’ behavior, and then parted ways. Several moments later, Edwards fired shots toward the club. Jones paid the money, but has been cooperating fully with police in their investigation of Edwards. However, he has also been arrested six times since beginning his NFL career in 2006. His future remains unclear.
