The Summit Fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains is now expected to destroy more than 10,000 acres, and is threatening another 190 homes after destroying at least 10. Here is some footage of the fires:

Watch this video for a few minutes, and it will zoom in to show some erie footage of houses that are being consumed by flames. It is very scary, and shows the awesome and terrible power of fire.

Watch this video closely as this man battles the blaze with a mere garden hose…attempting to keep the quickly approaching flames from consuming his house. Also, watch how strong the wind is as it whips through the trees and makes the flames jump from tree to tree.
