Career internships are the best thing since sliced bread. Maybe not sliced bread with butter, but definitely sliced bread. Internships are the way for young professionals to get their foot in the door at a company.

Internships are usually short lived jobs consisting of work no one else in the office wants to do, but it is a great opportunity to make your presence known. I can’t tell you the number of people I know that started at their company as an intern and consequently were hired on afterwards.
