A new study shows that hormones in the pill may interfere with the natural ability of women to choose a suitable mate. The study, found in the Royal Society’s Proceedings B., states that because the pill mimics the hormonal profile of a pregnancy, women tend to be attracted to men who are genetically like them. So all those bad dates you’ve been on may not even be your fault. It’s the pills! What can be done about such a problem? It is suggested that women who are worried about finding the perfect match should try hormone-free contraceptive methods such as condoms or non-hormonal IUDs.
