Japan has seen an enormous increase in the consumption of bananas lately, most likely due to the new banana craze diet. The diet, which originated from the book “Morning Banana Diet,” claims that the consumption of bananas and only room temperature water for breakfast will stimulate weight loss.

Supporters claim bananas give you the vitamins and nutrients you need while also stimulating weight loss throughout the day. However, experts say eating bananas alone will not give you the nutrients you need to survive.
