Archive for the ‘Injuries’ CategoryEveryone says that lawyers are self-absorbed, and that they only care about winning money. Don’t you think that is bad? I don’t, not at all in fact. In basketball, football, or any other sport, the win/loss record is everything. There is one type of law where that is applicable as well, and that is personal injury law. Personal injury law is something a lot of people joke about. We say things like, “oh if you push me I’ll sue you!” Or we think it is a good idea to job in front of a car, because at least you will get compensated right? Time is money when it comes to attorneys. Attorneys don’t sell you any tangible goods they merely assist you and you pay them for their time and knowledge. This is why it is so important to be as prepared as possible. If you have committed a crime and you know you have been caught, hire a defense attorney fast. Everyone is innocent in some way or another, at least that should be your attitude if you want to be a criminal defense attorney. Everyone can blame something else for the crime they committed. Just picture graduates looking up into that sea of caps with smiles on their faces, when “whack” one of the spinning mortarboards plows one of them in the face. Personal injury attorneys want to help victims of wrongful injuries. Most people don’t know that if they have been injured, they can get a free consultation from almost any attorney or lawyer. Therefore, you have no reason not to call an attorney. Getting a DUI in the first place is bad enough, so anything you can do to reduce your punishment is a good idea. Usually, that means hiring an experienced lawyer to fight your case. Gerrit Blank a 14-year old German boy was on his way home from school when he saw a fireball from the sky heading straight towards him. The white-hot meteorite traveling at 3,000 mph hit the boy and bounced onto the ground so hard it left a 12 inch crater in the tarmac and a three inch scar on the boy’s hand. There is only one other known case where a meteorite hit a human. The softball sized meteor crashed through the roof of an Alabama house in 1954. After going through the roof and ceiling, it bounced off the furniture and hit housewife Ann Hodges who was napping on the couch. The meteor that struck Ann left a large bruise on her hip. |
