It’s not only drinking and driving that is causing traffic collisions anymore. Now talking and driving is becoming increasingly dangerous. Police arrested Lindsay Lohan May 26, 2007 for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol after she crashed her 2005 Mercedes Convertible into a curb on Sunset Boulevard at 5.30 a.m. Lohan was taken to the hospital for minor chest pain. Car crashes are scary, dangerous events, and they happen all too often. There are more than 120 million cars on the road in the U.S., and only half of those are legally registered. There are more than 6 million crashes every year, which results in more than 2.5 million injuries and 40,000 deaths. |
