The FDA released another safety warning regarding Chantix, the anti-smoking drug, today. So far, the FDA has received more than 34 reports of suicides and 400 reports of suicidal behavior in patients taking Chantix.

The FDA released an Early Communication warning about the smoking cessation drug Chanitx on November 20, 2007. Chantix has been linked to suicidal thoughts, aggressive and erratic behavior, and drowsiness in patients. The FDA is conducting an ongoing safety review and will continue to monitor the drug.
