Cargill Meat Solutions, the same company whose Arkansas meat plant went up in flames Easter morning, just finished recalling almost 2 million pounds of ground beef because of E. coli. Neupro, a drug used to treat Parkinson’s disease, was recalled last week because of worries that the active ingredient was being released incorrectly into the patients skin. We’re barely halfway through February, and already there have been five children’s products recalled because of excessive lead levels. In January, there were 11. Here is a list of the 2008 recalls so far, complete with manufacturer contact info and identifying pictures. E-mail it to friends and family and get the word out there! One million cribs are being recalled, making this the largest crib recall in history. Simplicity cribs and Bassettbaby cribs have been linked to infant injuries, including suffocation and death. |
