What’s going on with America’s youth? As of today, there have been five school shootings in the past week, leaving 11 dead and more than 20 injured, some critically. The shootings took place in Illinois, California, Tennessee, Ohio and Louisiana.

The man who charged into a fifth grade classroom in Portsmouth, Ohio, and attempted to kill his estranged wife, the teacher of the class, shot himself during a stand-off with police later the same day, on February 7, 2008.
